TWELVE FORTY-FIVE
We just found out that Lincoln's surgery is scheduled for (approximately) 12:45. The 1st case is a complicated surgery (which could end up pushing his time a bit) and the 2nd case is a quick procedure. If I recall correctly (this is Andy, BTW... Steph would remember this stuff to the dotted i) Lincoln's surgery should take roughly 4-6 hours. Afterward he will be in the ICU for probably 2-3 days... then back to one of these rooms on the EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit ..me thinks) So... idk... there you have it! :)

ReplyDeleteOne last, trivial thought... that last surgery, Cesares's longest, I remember getting through it in the waiting room watching old episodes of Lost, which you can stream on ABC.com. (Being a Lost fan, thought you might relate.) Those old shows (remember them??), and not a few valium, was very diverting. Wait, maybe it was just the valium. In any case.. today is a day of celebration! Celebrate big tonight!!

As everyone has said, Lincoln, you were my first thought this morning. I have on Uncle Tony's watch and Aunt Theresa's prayer bracelet to help me send you some extra strength, but I know you will do just fine on your own. You are one tough Super Hero! Will be thinking of you all day. Love you all!

Hey big guy!! I got up uncharacteristically early for a college student and wanted to say I was thinking about you and I wrote you a little something... Its not as good as your Moms or Dads so no making fun but here goes
ReplyDeleteThere is a little boy I know who is very brave and strong, When my day is not going great his courage helps me go on. I think of him most all the time, although little does he know. My brave little Knifarine, getting bigger and stronger and now his seizures must go. God please take care of him today, he is a very special boy. He has a great big heart and this is the start of his happy ever after.
