A really nice weekend....and then they got sick...

Mama Laura and Papa Jim came to visit on Friday.
We had soft ice cream. 

 And what a coincidence!  

We ran into  Eva's teacher there.  He  was wearing an ice cream suit.  

They don't pay teachers enough around here, I guess. 

He's got to put food on the table somehow...

(Okay, okay you nailed me!   It was for a fundraiser...)

That's Lincoln in the tie died shirt.

Then Eva got sick with a pretty big fever and stomach issues. This, after I wrote about stress dosing for Lincoln. Talk about stressed! We cannot have Lincoln get sick. Thankfully he listened and just has a little head cold. Nothing big, but enough to make him feel pretty cruddy.

Our niece Lauren and her husband Dan stopped by on Sunday with amazing gifts that they made - ( I have to put them up here - but first I need Lauren to send me the link of the picture). Beautiful. I could cry. And aren't they a gorgeous couple...

And CONGRATULATIONS to niece Krissy, who graduated from college this weekend.   Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh crying happy tears - so proud!

Andy's getting the pool ready. Lincoln is going to have to use both arms and hands, otherwise....the alternative is....well,....let's just say it's not too nice. Self preservation is an instinct, right? The kid's got to use his arms to keep his head above water.....does that make us abusive....?

 No way! 

 It's all in the name of therapy!
