He's using Bioness here - which provides functional electronic stimulation to his leg and the arc to his spinal cord (God help me understand this language?!). He's getting feedback in the form of a small electric current, this teaches him how to walk with a more effective gait. He has a small leg length discrepancy so Adrienne put a little wedge in his left shoe. She's trying to get him to touch his heel to the ground when he walks. His heel cord is tight, that makes what he's doing very tough.

Now he's in Occupational Therapy with Mary. Because he cannot open and close his hand on his own, she's using electrical stimulation to do it for him. It's all about building neuropathways and keeping the hand from freezing in a closed position. It was really wonderful to see his hand moving, even if it wasn't of his doing.
