Trust

He trusts us

to keep his brain intact

(so to speak).

He trusts us

with too much

because, really, we’re just children too.

He trusts us

but do we trust ourselves?

And how do we live with this responsibility?

He trusts us.

So we pull our heads out of the sand,

and put one foot in front of the other.

Because he trusts us.

So we must trust ourselves too.
