It's Off!

The contact guard assist is called off!
We were waiting to see what the school superintendent was going to do.  We signed a waiver that reiterated our opposition to this level of assistance based on our emails, phone conversations and the meeting we attended.  Now he's just on 'stand by assist', which is what it says - an aide is always near him during transitions.  We're happy about that.
Are we a bit frightened that Lincoln may fracture his wrist again?
You bet.
But we have to think about the WHOLE LINCOLN.  He was suffocating and begging for some independence.  We were concerned about his self confidence and the fact that he has so few choices throughout his day.  He should be able to say "No." and be heard.
He was.
